I came onto my blog this morning to discover that the hit counter was at 11,111 hits, precisely. That has to be a sign, right? I mean, that’s, like, one one better than the magic of 11:11, which, when spotted, we are to stop what we are doing and make a wish.
So I thought, ‘How can I celebrate this milestone?’ The answer came to me right away! I have a new book coming out VERY SOON. Why don’t I give away a print copy of Sebastian’s Poet? And I can send along a copy of my first book, Summer on Fire, at the same time.
So, in celebration of 11,111 hits, I am throwing a little contest. It’s also a celebration of the release of Sebastian, my personal favourite story of all the ones I have ever written.

Oh Kevin, 11,111 hits is definitely a magical sign… you should be celebrating with “Lucky Cake”! Grin! For the record, I’m the one yelling the loudest in this e-crowd… “I WANT MY OWN COPY OF SEBASTIAN’S POET RIGHT NOW!” Can you hear me? (insert a picture of me doing a dance… a begging dance)
I loved Summer On Fire, and although I already have my own autographed copy, I could use the one I win, to have a contest at my son’s school. He’s in Grade 8 and graduating this year, so what 14-year-old wouldn’t love to win a YA book… my kid reads 24/7 and so do quite a few of his friends. He’s the one I told you about last September… as soon as I brought it home from the Muskoka Novel Marathon wrap-up party, he was fist-fighting his sister for my copy of Summer on Fire… it was all about the ‘who’s going to read it first’… should make you feel good… it’s alright, you can smile & giggle if you want. It’s awesome to be fought over… every writer’s dream!
